Once again starring Gal Gadot as the Amazon princess turned superhero, it's the second installment in the franchise by director Patty Jenkins — and this time set during the Cold War. And Wonder Woman has a new foe, Cheetah, who will be played by Kristen Wiig. It'll be the 9th entry in the DC Extended Universe and will also star Chris Pine, Pedro Pascal, and Robin Wright. Frates, a former Boston College baseball player, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, in 2012. Millions of dollars were raised for research on the disease as part of the viral social media fundraiser he helped propel with his own Ice Bucket Challenge video in 2014. “He was a noble fighter who inspired us all to use our talents and strengths in the service of others,” Frates’ family said. Police said they do not expect to find any more survivors after the White Island volcano, also known by its Maori name of Whakaari, erupted on Monday. Five people are confirmed dead and at least 10 are unaccounted for. Emergency services have been unable to get access to the privately-owned island on the advice of volcano experts, who said the scene was too dangerous and unstable. Spinney, who had been living with dystonia, a disorder that causes a person's muscles to contract uncontrollably, died at 85. Spinney joined Sesame Street in its first season in 1969 and was on the show for nearly 50 years before retiring in 2018. During his life, Spinney described playing Big Bird and Oscar as his calling. “Before I came to Sesame Street, I didn’t feel like what I was doing was very important. Two days before Gabriel Taye’s death in 2017, the boy was attacked by students in the restroom and laid unconscious on the floor for seven minutes, according to surveillance video and the attorney representing Taye’s family. The school told the family Taye “fainted” and his “vitals were fine,” the lawsuit alleges, and Taye was back in school after staying home for one day. The lawsuit stemmed from tweets that Musk had sent in 2018 that insulted Vernon Unsworth, a British cave explorer involved in the rescue of a boys soccer team from a cave in Thailand. Musk called him a “pedo guy” after Unsworth criticized Musk’s efforts to involve himself in the rescue. A grand jury charged Kelly with bribing an Illinois official to produce "a fraudulent identification document for Jane Doe #1 " on Aug. 30. 1994. A personal familiar with the matter confirmed to BuzzFeed News that Aaliyah, who died in a plane crash in 2001, is the Jane Doe referenced in the court documents. The two were infamously married on Aug. 31, 1994 when Aaliyah was just 15. In the past, Kelly's representatives have denied that he knew Aaliyah was 15 at the time they were married. Jacob Angelo Servin said San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office deputies “choked me, kicked me and tried to snap my neck” after he was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public. The sheriff’s office says Servin was “non-compliant with officers,” and had tried to kick a deputy and bite another staff member at the jail. A police officer told BuzzFeed News that Servin was compliant with officers’ orders during the initial arrest. Officials have launched an administrative review and an investigation of the incident. The unnamed sub asked students at Deerfield Elementary School in Utah what they were thankful for, according to one of the boy's fathers, Dancing with the Stars dancer Louis van Amstel. When the boy said "finally being adopted by his two dads," the teacher began berating him and allegedly told the 11-year-old that "homosexuality is wrong" and “two men living together is a sin.” The boy didn't want to speak up and get the teacher in trouble, but three girls did, van Amstel said. Katie Cornetti says the video was a way of coping with the shock of what happened. "We saw [the window] shatter and we look at each other, and were like, 'Are you OK? Are you OK?' Once we figured out we were all OK, we started laughing," Cornetti said. Match Group, which owns most major online dating services, screens for sexual predators on Match — but not on Tinder, OkCupid, or Plenty of Fish.
